Anniversary of Peter Hall’s death

On March of 2021 the IAJ received the sad news of the death of a good friend and colleague,  US Federal Judge Peter Hall.

Some days ago, President Matos took the occasion to recall his legacy and extraordinary work provided to IAJ namely as President of the First Study Commission.

The Presidency committee and General Secretariat join President Matos in these reflections and thoughts, but would like also to express their profound gratitude to the Turkish colleague, Mehmet Tank , for his warm and marvellous gesture represented by a beatiful letter that you can find hereinafter: ”Thank you so much, dear friend, for reconciling us with the values of love and solidarity in the terrible violent times we live again in Europe”, wrote President Matos.
