International Criminal Court statement

Following a request of the International Association of Lawyers (UIA), the Presidency Committee of the IAJ, after an attentive evaluation, has decided not to make a joint statement with the UIA, but to support the position by writing separately (letter hereinafter) as the IAJ to underline the importance of respecting the integrity of independent judicial processes and officers in international proceedings. 

The statement regards some official statements from the US, in particular the Secretary of State Pompeo toward the International Criminal Court, but the IAJ, after a consultation with the FJA, our US member, specified the abstention of USA.
