Informal meeting by video link of the African Regional Group of the IAJ

Today, 27th of October, 2020, the African Regiona Group of the International Association of Judges, Regional Group of the IAJ, held a meeting, by video link.

Seven African member associations (Algeria, Angola, Liberia, Ivory Coast, Morocco, South Africa and Tunisia), as well as the IAJ President Tony Pagone, Vice President Duro Sessa, the Secretary-General General Oberto and the Deputy Secretary-General Raffaele Gargiulo were in attendance.

The meeting was presided over by the President of the African Group, Mr. Djamel Aidouni.

The meeting was an occasion to virtually meet each other during this difficult times of pandemic, which are affecting everyone and also an opportunity to exchange news and make some proposals in the promotion of the independence of the judiciary in Africa.
