Special Irish Participation in the Silent March in Warsaw on 11th January 2020

Following the initiative of organising a silent march in Warsaw on 11th of January 2020, in defense of the independence of judicial independence in Poland,

the Irish Association of Judges has decided to send a special delegation. Actually, the Irish judiciary will be represented at the silent march in Warsaw by Mr Justice John MacMenamin, a judge of our Supreme Court, who will be carrying letters of support from the Chief Justice of Ireland, Mr Justice Frank Clarke and from the Association of Judges of Ireland.

Several other associations will be represented there, together with the EAJ President José Igreja Matos.
