Draft Universal Charter of Judges (updating 1999 edition)

The draft for an updated version of the Universal Charter of Judges, in English and French, has been spread among the IAJ members and is available in the restricted area of the IAJ website together with a comparative table (“Draft Universal Charter of the Judge – Comparative table” ).

Please remind that discussions will take place in springtime, on the occasion of the regional groups meetings, in order to debate this project and possibly amend it.
The Presidents of the Regional Groups are kindly invited to add a point in their agendas and to inform the President of the IAJ after their meetings about the possible propositions and difficulties raised.
The Presidency Committee, which will meet in Paris, next June, will complete the text which will be presented in order to be adopted in the occasion of the meeting of the Central Council in Santiago (Chile).
