EAJ meeting, Porto (Portugal) 28-30 April 2022

The recent EAJ meeting, organized by the Portuguese Judges Association (ASJP), was held in Porto from 28 to 30 of April, 2022.

The meeting took place under the presidency of the IAJ President Mr. José Igreja Matos, First Vice President and President of the EAJ, Mr. Duro Sessa. In attendance were also the two members of the EAJ board, Vice Presidents Mr. Mikael Sjoberg and Ms. Sabine Mateika, as well as the IAJ Deputies Secretary-General, Mr. Galileo D’Agostino and Mr. Lucio Aschettino. Honorary Presidents Maja Tratnik, Gerhard Reissner and Gunter Woratsch were also in attendance, as well as the Representatives of 36 EAJ member associations.

The Assembly discussed current problems of the Judiciary in Europe, such as the situation of Justice in Poland, Turkey and Ukraine.
