MESSAGE OF THE PRESIDENT TO ALL IAJ NATIONAL ASSOCIATIONS – International Bar Association’s Survey on the Issue of Corruption within the Judiciary

News of the IAJ

Today the IAJ President, Ms. Cristina Crespo, sent to all IAJ Member Associations following message:

Dear colleagues,

Jose Igreja Matos, Gerhard Reissner and I met with the president of the International Bar Association (IBA).  One of the themes IBA is working on is an important survey conducted by the IBA and the Basel Institute on Governance (Basel Institute). Due to the fact that this meets our own goal, which the Central Council adopted last year, fight against corruption in the judiciary, we assured them the support of IAJ.

The answers to the questionnaire will be provided by individual members of the legal professions, including judges. The survey is absolutely confidential, web-based and will not take more than some minutes of your time. The survey should be completed until  23th October 15.

It is very important that the experience and opinion of as many judges as possible can be considered in this survey. I kindly ask you to participate and answer as rapidly as possible the questionnaire you will find in the following link: https://survey.baselgovernance.org/index.php/236414

For  further information, the colleagues  may contact MS Rocío Paniagua  trough  the email  address LPT@int-bar.org  or  claudia.baez-camargo@baselgovernance.org

Best regards

Cristina  Crespo
