Declaration of the IAJ President and of the President of the Ibero-American Group of the IAJ on the case of the Venezuelan Judge Afiuni and press reports

The International Association of Judges has called upon the court authorities to “respect the Universal Declaration of Human Rights to ensure Judge María Lourdes Afiuni’s right to an effective recourse to local courts and to protect her from any actions violating fundamental rights vested in her by the Constitution or the Law.”
