H.P. Reissner’s Report on the Second Hearing of the Criminal Case of the Turkish Judges Baser and Özelik

On February 10th, 2016, IAJ Honorary President Mr. Gerhard Reissner participated in the second hearing against the judges Baser and Özelik in Ankara (Turkey).

After Honorary President Reissner’s first report, EAJ President and IAJ First Vice President Mr. Christophe Régnard, wrote a letter to following European Authorities, in order to inform them about the process and to express EAJ’s worries about the situation of the independence of the Judiciary in Turkey:

– M. Pedro AGRAMUNT, President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe
