IAJ Judicial Independence award to Guatemalan judge Erika Aifan

On 21st September 2022, during the closing ceremony of the 64th annual meeting of the IAJ in Tel Aviv, Guatemalan judge Erika Aifan, currently in exile abroad for her fight in defence of judicial independence, was awarded the IAJ judicial independence prize, collected on her behalf by the Costarican judge Adriana Orocu.

On the same day the Judicial Independence awards were respectly awarded to our beloved colleague Murat Arslan and personally collected on his behalf by HP Christophe Régnard and to the President of the Polish Association of Judges, Krystian Markiewicz.
