IBA meeting

On 10 December, the Ibero-American Group (IBA) of the IAJ held a brief videoconference on the zoom platform to take note of the resignation of the President of the Group, Mr Rafael de Menezes.

All the IBA delegates thanked Mr de Menezes for his excellent work and unanimously decided to appoint his Brazilian colleague, Mr Walter Barone, as interim President.

Mr Barone declared to be honoured with the nomination and accepted the post.

The interim President will carry out his duties until the next elections to the IAJ Presidency Committee.

The General Secretariat and the Presidency Committee of the IAJ congratulated Mr Barone wishing him every success.
