A diverse and informative conference with a clear focus awaits you. Competent speakers present the legal situation, highlight selected problems, show possible solutions and are not afraid to ask critical questions about the status quo.

The conference is organized at the Basel Faculty of Law in cooperation with the Swiss Institute for the Judiciary and supported by the European Association of Judges. It is aimed at lawyers, politicians and others interested in the organization of the democratic constitutional state, the separation of powers and the judiciary.

Whenever possible, the meeting will be held as a hybrid event – a face-to-face conference and a webinar. Depending on the COVID-19 restrictions on larger events in effect in March 2021 however, we may have to reserve the right to hold the event only as an online event.

Participation in the online event is free of charge.
