It is with deep sorrow that the IAJ General Secretariat received the information about the passing away of our dearest Colleague Bjørn Solbakken. We all remember Bjørn as a very active Vice-President of the IAJ and President of the EAJ from 2006 to 2010. On behalf of the IAJ’s President Mr. Duro Sessa and of the Presidency Committee of the International Association of Judges, as well as of EAJ’s President Mr. Mikael Sjoberg and of the Board of the European Association of Judges, the General Secretariat express its deepest condolences to the Norwegian Association of Judges and to Judge Solbakken’s Family.
